It's great to be back in the full swing of things! After the Christmas holidays and everyone scattering for a couple of weeks, we are back to normality.
Over the month of January, we have had several ideas put to motion and have truly seen the Lord bless in them! On January 15th, we kicked off our spring AWANA program with 12 young people right off the bat. We followed two weeks later with a great increase totalling 18 kids, several of which were first time visitors. We are very thankful that God is doing such a great work in the youth ministry.
Also during January, we were privilidged to start the "Saints of the Round Table" Bible study which is intended to train young people and those who desire to work with them to take the gospel message into all the world; and train others to do the same. The first week, we had 9 people total, with 22 the following week and steadily growing. This is every Sunday evening at 6:00 pm, so I would encourage anyone that has a heart for young people to attend and be a part of this growing ministry!
We are still continuing to pray for our teenagers; as many are here one week and gone the next. I'm so glad you can always count on the younger ones who have a hunger to learn the word of God! Last week, we were blessed to have had 21 young people on Sunday morning. We are excited and expectant to see our youth grow in number and stature over the coarse of the year, 2011! It's our goal to steadily reach, teach, train, and send our youth into the mission fields of the local schools and neighborhoods with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
We pray also that the Lord will see fit to provide us with a van to aid in this outreach, and or a school bus. We are also praying that God would touch the hearts of men and women who would desire to give of themselves to the Lord's ministry in the youth.
I hope that you will all continue to earnestly pray, encourage, and be a living testimony to our young people. Thank you all for your previous prayers and support, and know that your reward is in Heaven!
