I am excited to report the many blessings God has bestowed upon the youth here at Chapel By The Sea Baptist Church!
During the month of December, we had an average attendance of twenty young people each week prior to Christmas! (However, they did scatter some the two weeks after Christmas!
We also continued to see the fruit of the Black Friday Lock-in throughout the month of December as three people made professions of faith in the following weeks! It's our desire to give God all the glory! Along with the professions of faith, three families of youth, have since attended services, and are being faithful to come each week!
It's amazing to see the hand of God work in the lives of people, new, and old alike!
Ashlee, Peyton and I were privileged to spend nine days during the Christmas holidays with our families, and celebrate the Lord's birth in our home towns. However, our heart was with our youth and their families. With the new year underway, we have many activities being planned, and many goals set for the youth at our church! Pray with us about how YOU can be involved with these plans!
School is still in session for me as well. I am right in the middle of a research paper for an Apologetics class through Andersonville Theological Seminary out of Camilla, GA. With three classes down, and seventeen to go, it's my goal to be finished with my studies this year! Please pray with me about that! Working a full time job, ministry, and family can become a juggling act at times!
With all that said, I am excited in what God is doing, and is going to do this year of 2011! I hope that YOU will find somewhere to plug into God's church, and be a blessing to someone as we desire to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
Your Co-laborer in Christ,
Stephen Underwood
