I want to praise the Lord for His amazing blessings to our family and the youth at Chapel By The Sea Baptist Church! During the past month, we have been extremely busy in the Lord’s work. We have been planning our car wash that took place Saturday for the Our Generation Camp in June, preparing for the "Living Last Supper" last Thursday, and also getting ready to kick off our "Fun in the Son" campaign for the summer!
The "Living Last Supper" was a great success, and we had a wonderful time in the Lord. I couldn’t help but wonder what the disciples were actually thinking while Jesus was preparing to go to the cross for our sakes!
The car wash was also a great success! It was done in order to raise funds for several teenagers that we will be taking to the Our Generation Camp May 30th – June 3rd. We were blessed to have raised $319, and later was give an additional $165 making our total $484 toward the trip. We are still praying for others to give and if you would like to be a part of giving, you may do so by visiting www.chapelbytheseabaptistchurch.com, going to "Get Involved" tab and clicking on the "Youth" link on the page.
Our youth is also preparing to kick off our "Fun in the Son" campaign encouraging young people to GO, TEACH, BAPTIZE, AND TEACH! Each youth will have an accountability partner and also keep track within the class of their ministry throughout the summer. They will get points for bringing their Bibles to church, bringing friends and family to church, memorizing scripture, and community outreach at least one hour a week. At the end of the summer, we will present those that excel with an "Andrew Award" before the congregation and a dinner with me and my family.
It is our desire to train our young people to win someone to Christ, have them to be baptized, disciple them, and see them brought into church membership. I hope that you will make this a matter of prayer as we follow the example of Jesus in discipleship. Thank you all for the prayers and intercession already given on our behalf, and if you would like to know more about how YOU can get involved; please do not hesitate to contact me!
