Unwelcome Stranger

I was at a church, not so long ago.
That cared not one bit about the fate of one’s soul.
It was all too clear that they were in despair.
It was written in their face and you could feel it in the air.
Their passion was gone along with their vision, their heart had grown cold in spite of our mission!
They looked on me with a judgemental eye, not realizing that for all Jesus had died!
Had I not known, nor had I been saved; I would have thought that all but me Jesus forgave!
Next time I see that stranger walk in, Lord may I treat him as a long lost friend!
I pray that someday someone might say, “you spoke a kind word and your handshake was warm, it was that day I came to know the Lord!
