Two Minute Underwood Update
Christmas is my favorite time of the year! This is the time when I am as excited as my five year old about all the events, Christmas parties, family get-togethers, and Christmas dramas going on!
However, I can honestly say that I am most excited because we get to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. As I reflect on the many blessings God has given us over the past year, I am humbled by His provision and love for me and my family.
I want to take a moment and give thanks to Him for our son Eli who was born this past September, for allowing us to begin deputation to raise our support to plant churches in South Africa, and for the many many churches He has allowed us to be in that have loved on us in ways that only reflect the love of Christ!
Twenty thirteen has not been all a “bed of roses,” however. With the home going of my Granny, and three months to the day, my Pawpaw; this time of year can bring some battles of the mind as well. But I am so thankful for the grace of God during times of grief and hardships. I praise Him for strengthening my faith and allowing patience to have her perfect work in my life.
I look forward to all that God has in store for me and my family over the next year! I am excited to start it off at the Our Generation Summit with some of my dearest friends in the world and sharing our desire to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ with many young folks from all over the U.S.
I ask that you would continue to pray with and for us, and that twenty fourteen will be a year where God receives all the glory in and through our lives. I ask that you will pray as we travel, and that we will be as much of an encouragement to God’s people as they have been to us.
From the Underwood Family,
Merry Christmas!
