Dear Pastors and Faithful Prayer Partners,

We have had a tremendous month of August and are so excited about the future of our church plant in Ezeiza! God has bestowed on us His blessings and with His blessings, the opportunities to serve others for the sake of the gospel.

We recently hosted a Día De Los Niños and were truly encouraged by the turnout! Our final numbers of those that attended were; 86 children, 40 parents, and as a result of the gospel being preached, 4 professions of faith! The follow Sunday morning, we also had a young lady visit from the day before, Malena, who came to know Christ as her Savior!

This month, I’m excited to have my mom visit for a couple of weeks. The boys are super excited to see Nina and we trust this will be a nice time showing her our home on the field! Then, on the 15th, Justin, a young preacher/song leader from Iglesia Bautista Omega in Arequipa, Peru will be staying with us for a month, and helping serve in our young church. This will be a huge blessing to me and our folks as we continue growing, learning music, and ministering to the commuinty.

Please continue praying as we seek to raise the funds to purchase our church property. Lots in our area are roughly $35k – $50k for the size we need to begin building. With the Argentine economy, our dollar goes further, however the inflation rate is outrageous and prices are increasing drastically and quickly. Our goal is to be able to purchase a property before everything skyrockets out of reach.

I’m just so thankful for the work God is doing in our small church plant, and believe that only greater things are ahead in our efforts to reach Ezeiza, Buenos Aires, and all of Argentina with the gospel!

April 2022 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastors and Faithful Prayer Partners,

March has flown by and we are only picking up speed! As we continue looking for the place that God would have us to start our church, we are narrowing down our options of buildings for rent. I’m truly excited about all the possibilities in the area of Ezeiza and believe God is going to do something great!

I’m thrilled to report that I had the privilege to preach my first entire service this last month. We are so humbled by the kindness and support of Iglesia Bautista Fe, and cannot show our gratitude enough to have them as our church as we learn and adjust to Argentina. Patrick and Leslie Henry have done an absolutely phenomenal job mentoring and teaching these believers and I know they are ready to have the Henry family home!

I am continuing to make contacts in our area as well. On three different occasions, I’ve been able to present the gospel to those asking questions about Baptist beliefs in comparison to Catholicism. Its amazing to me how God opens these doors of opportunity, then provides the words to say in the moment we need to say them!

It has been our privilege as well to host Jason Holt, missionary in Santiago, Chile for a few days. He helped me tremendously as we surveyed Ezeiza and showed me good locations to start our church. He was also a blessing to Matias and Eric, Patrick’s guys at Fe.

Likewise, Ashlee and I hosted another guest for a couple of weeks; Karen Patterson. I had never met her previously to this trip, but she reached out during covid, before
we arrived, and told us of her desire to visit and serve. She was a great blessing
and had a tremendous attitude of service to the folks while she was here!

November 2020 Prayer Letter

We can see the light at the end of the tunnel! News reports and reports from our missionary friends on the field suggest that Argentina is making steps toward opening up for tourism and travel! We are praying this happens very soon and quickly, as our hearts’ desire is to be on the mission field.

I am greatly looking forward to several meetings coming up this month, and praying that they will be the last of our meetings here in the United States. We will be in Florida. North Carolina, and Georgia presenting our ministry and our plans for planting churches and training men in Argentina.

Last month, I mentioned our need to raise an additional $10,000 for our set up costs. Praise the Lord, $2800 has been provided so far and we are trusting the Lord to supply the remainder before our departure! These funds will go to initial expenses, a second vehicle, and the remainder of the furniture we will need to set up our home in Argentina.
