I would ask each of you to pray for my family today and over the next several weeks, but especially remember my Mom. Today would have been my Dad’s 55th birthday. Just two weeks after his 54th birthday, he suffered a massive heart attack in his sleep and passed away.
Though I can’t explain the why’s, or understand all the reasons; God is still on the throne and has shown us grace beyond our understanding. With that said, I would like to say this about my Dad…
(Proverbs 22:6) “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Happy Birthday Day to my Dad! There was a time when I took for granted his sacrifices and affection he showed to me. I believe whole heartedly that because of his example and compassion on me, by the grace of God, I am the dad I am today.
He taught me to always work hard for my family.
He taught me never to take time spent with your sons for granted.
He taught me that no matter how stupid of a mistake I make, I am still his son.
These are only a few lessons that I learned from my dad, and I pray everyday that I will train up my sons in the way they should go, as was taught to me.
Happy Birthday Day Dad!
I love you!
