“I’ll live or die for Jesus Christ, here’s my life, I’m ready for either!”
I am so excited about the moving of God on a group of young people last week during the Our Generation Camp. Several young folks made decisions that their life is no longer their own, and that they would surrender to serve God however He desires; regardless of the calling, or their location on the map!
Throughout camp, several signed a pledge, to set their heart to work for the furtherance of the gospel, or lay their life down as a sacrifice for world evangelism. I thought about this generation of folks that will be our next church leaders, pastors, and missionaries, and what our responsibility should be to teach them the word of God. I thought about where I was when I was fourteen and fifteen years old and how God had began to work in my heart to serve Him!
I believe, if the Lord tarries, we will see a generation arise and shake this world for the cause of Christ! Would to God that it start with me! Would to God that it start at home! Would to God that churches in America will lead the way for our next Great Awakening!
Please pray with me that decisions made at camp will endure for years to come, that these teens will stay faithful in their local church and faithfully serve, that we will shoulder the responsibility to reach this world with the gospel of Christ!
On a side note, I want to announce that I will begin a weekly series of updates entitled “Saturday’s in South Africa.” You may remember an update where I described what significance Saturday holds in South Africa with the funeral ceremonies and the ancestral worship. I would like to continue along those line of communication and briefly give prayer requests, updates, and interesting facts about the country in which I so long to be.
Thank you for your faithful prayers, support and love for our family!
