Have you ever been complimented by someone that you hold to a high esteem? Or ever had an idea you had put to use by those you call your peers?
Well, it is extremely rewarding and encouraging! The hard part is, "playing it cool." In reality, you want to grin from ear to ear, jump and shout for joy, and tell everyone what just happened. But you can’t do that without looking like a geek. However, you can blog about it! 😉
This recently happened to me, and I was overcome with joy that someone I thought so highly of would take notice. My first reaction was the "un-cool" response. Although, as I continued thinking on the subject at hand, I couldn’t help but wonder what it was about me, or the statement that was worthy of that honor?
We have an amazing Creator, and Father! We are all made in His likeness, and as Christians we are constantly being conformed to His image! It really doesn’t lie in what my brain can conjure up, or my talents perform; but rather with the gifts God has given us to use for His glory! The closer our relationship to the Lord becomes, naturally the more others will notice the working of God in your life, both Christians and the lost.
We have a great responsibility. It’s our command, but should be our desire to share the gospel of Christ with the world. There are many that would be in opposition of this, but rest assure; there are many that will stand beside you for the cause of Christ! It shouldn’t surprise us when we use what the Lord has given us, and others take notice.
(Acts 4:13) Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
