Dear faithful ministry partners,

I am thrilled to announce that we are just one short week away from holding our first service in the new church property! It has been amazing to see how God has worked and continues to work during this process. When we started raising funds to purchase the property, God provided all the funds needed to pay off the building in less than 6 months!

We then continued raising funds to begin construction and finish the shell of a building that we had purchased. I am still in awe of how the Lord has brought in what we needed, at the moment that we needed it. We are roughly half way through the building process but have completed enough to begin holding services!

We plan on having a special service on August 6th with a fellowship lunch to follow. Next, on August 26th, we will be hosting our second annual Kid’s Day! We have rented jump houses, games, will give away prizes and hotdogs to the folks from the community. Each person will also hear the gospel and receive a special invitation to our church. This was a huge opportunity last year with 130 people attending. We are anticipating, by faith, 200 to attend this year! With winter break coming to a close, the kids will be going back to school and many that were out of town will also be joining us again for our services.

Please continue praying for the remainder of the funds needed to complete the construction.

Also, pray for our outreach opportunities and events coming up to be a success and bring folks in to hear the gospel!

Lastly, pray for our faithful young men that continue serving and growing in the Lord. They have really stepped up, taken ownership of our ministry and are
maturing beyond their years!

I just want to praise the Lord for His goodness and continued blessings on our family and ministry! Sometimes I find it hard to condense all that God is doing into a one page letter, but this is a great problem to have in my opinion!

One of the greatest blessing happened last week. A young lady, Lourdes, placed her faith and trust in Jesus Christ! Lourdes began attending our church while we were in the States for a short time. Her aunt, Rita, a faith lady in our church invited her. Piper Henry befriended her while she visited and stayed in communication with her. Lourdes continued to attend and is now super faithful and growing! Before salvation, she was a professing atheist! Not only did Lourdes get saved recently, but Neyland, our youngest son, also trusted Christ as his Savior! I am beyond excited to watch God use his life!

We have also seen substantial progress made on the construction of our new property! The floor is poured, we have running water, bathrooms, a nursery, and are opening up space to extend the auditorium space to accommodate up 75 people! We are still in need of roughly $26,000 to complete all the construction, but will continue building as we can. We will be holding our first service at the new property on August 6th. On August 20th, we will have a big Kid’s Day event and use it as an outreach for the community. Last year we had 130 attend and are planning for 200 this year, Lord willing!

I am still just so impressed and encouraged by the spiritual growth of our young people as well. Brian Jr., one of our first and most faithful young men is running the sound system and doing a tremendous job! Yago, is always available to do whatever is asked of him. (To a certain extent) My son, Peyton, is learning to play the guitar and Lord willing will be playing for our church in the near future!

Please be praying for the events coming up and that we will be able to reach more souls to the glory of God!

June 2023 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastors and Prayer Partners,

May was a great month for our family and church as well! During our short furlough, we were able to visit with family, and I am now an official college graduate! I thank God for the opportunity to complete my bachelors degree and pray that I will continue to grow and never stop learning!

Missionary Patrick Henry and his family were and are a tremendous blessing to our church while we were in the States. There are new people attending now that I have not yet had the pleasure to meet and look forward to doing so! It was also a great opportunity for our faithful group to step up and help during our absence, and I praise the Lord for how they responded to that need!

Tonight will be my first youth meeting since landing yesterday morning and I cannot wait to see our young people for the first time in a month! This Sunday, we will celebrate our one year anniversary as Iglesia Bautista Esperanza! It is incredible to see what all God has done during our first year, the souls that were saved, and families joining our church family. I am truly excited to see what He continues to do over the next year.

Construction on the building is coming along! Lord willing, we will hold our first service at the new location on July 30th! We have much work to do before then and trust that God will continue to provide the needed funds to see our construction completed!

We are also looking forward to our team hosting a group from Victory Baptist Church of Loganville this month. One thing they will have the opportunity to do is help with area saturation at our new location! This is a very important task when starting a church, and creating a follow up list that we can revisit throughout the year! I am grateful for their desire to visit the mission field!
