It is hard to believe that October is already half over! We have been running non-stop this month and there is no sign of slowing down!
Pastor Aaron Smith, a supporting pastor from Mobile, AL has been here for the last two weeks visiting us and the Coffey’s. He has preached upwards of around 15 times since he has been here! We have had a wonderful time with him and look forward to continuing to hear of the great things going on at CrossRoads Baptist Church!
Last week, I was privileged to preach the opening evening of faith promise missions conference at Grace Baptist Church where Kevin Hall is currently serving! The church has such a sweet spirit and is greatly being used to reach others in the community. I know God will allow them to impact the world with the Gospel of Christ!
Last week, the schools were on spring holiday, better known as spring break to us. On Friday, we all took several groups of young people out for a day of fun and fellowship, followed by a great challenge by Pastor Smith from God’s word!
I am excited to report that we received news of a new supporter this month as well! God sure has been good to us and shown that He will provide and take care of us! I am humbled and honored to serve Jesus here in South Africa!
I would ask you to continue to pray with me for:
- Language school! After four weeks of language school, all I know is how much I do NOT know!! Please pray with me to continue learning and most importantly PRACTICING Xhosa!
- Teen Camp! Summer break is just around the corner! In December, we will be serving with our co-laborers at the Baptist Fellowship for World Evangelism Camp! We expect roughly 100 young people to attend. We are estimating a total cost for camp to be around $3000. Please pray that God will supply these needed funds and that many decisions will be made for Christ at camp!
- Pray for our team, Project South Africa! Mark Coffey will be going on furlough in December. Jeremy Hall is continuing to do a great job leading the folks at Soweto Baptist Church. Kevin Hall is leading some amazing folks at Grace Baptist Church and they have started a bus route in a neighboring township that desperately needs the gospel. Jason King and his family be will arriving here at the end of February! And Josh Sullivan and his family are doing a fantastic job on deputation! I am so excited to see how God uses and continues to use our team for the furtherance of the gospel around South Africa and the world!
Thank you all for your continued love, prayers, and support of our family!
