Dear faithful friends and ministry partners,
April was a tremendous month of growth, not only in the language but also in our walk with Christ as a family. On the mission field, there are times of spiritual “stretching” that the Lord will allow us to go through in order to prepare us for greater tasks ahead. I’m so thankful that God is continuing to grow our family and draw us closer to Him, and more dependent on what He can do through us.
Ashlee and I are progressing through book number two in Spanish language school. Though we are still not certain when we will be able to enter Argentina, I am more convinced now, that Peru is exactly where God wants us during this season of ministry.
Last month, I was able to meet with a young man on two different occasions, named Judas. I asked him if he would mind correcting me as I quote my memory verses, and shared my devotion that I was preparing to teach. He obliged, and God opened the door for me to share the gospel. He told me on the second visit that he was completely shut off to church, but he would consider coming as my guest in the near future. Please pray with me for Judas to be saved!
In a couple of weeks, Ashlee and I will be heading to Ecuador for a Vision Baptist Missions regional conference. We are greatly looking forward to this time of further training, instruction, and fellowship with our VBM team. Please pray that this time together will bear much fruit for the cause of Christ!
Thank you all for your continued love, prayers, and support of our family!
