I want to start this month’s prayer letter by saying thank you all for your faithful support, both financially and prayerfully! Over the past several weeks, I have been beyond blessed to receive texts, phone calls, and emails from God’s people just letting us know they are praying for us and love us! God is using His people to be an encouragement to me and my family in ways they may never know this side of eternity.
We praise the Lord for a productive and full February and continue to trust God to bless throughout March. We were in some wonderful churches, and finished the month at a missions conference in Richmond Hill, GA at Bethel Baptist with Pastor Carlton Cooper! Pastor Cooper is a tremendous man of God and we left refreshed in the Lord!
While there at the conference, we met the Crawford family! Each night Bro. Herman came and hugged my neck and told me he loved me! What a joy it was to my heart to have this brother, who knew little about me before the conference, tell me how he loved me! I began thinking about this; how we can be complete strangers and because of the love of Christ in us, we too have the ability to love one another! Bro. Herman made the choice, that he and his dear wife loved the Underwood family, not because of who we are, but because of Who Christ is and our relationship through Him!
As we inch closer and closer to the field, our excitement and anticipation continues to grow. I would like to ask you to pray for us in these areas:
- Pray for our continued support!
Last month, we gained two new supporters, and praise God for that! I pray that each month we will see the fruits of our deputation. I know that it is a great sacrifice for many to give, and we are so thankful for the willingness of God’s people. - Pray for more opportunities to minister!
Right now, deputation is the ministry in which God has us! I desire to use this time to be an encouragement to folks, and to challenge them to do more for the cause of Christ! Will you pray with us also? - Pray for South Africa!
Pray that God will go before us and prepare the hearts of them that would hear the gospel and trust Christ! I believe that God has a plan and that with that plan, a man that would be saved, and surrender to carry the gospel to a lost and dying world! Will you pray with us now, that we will find that man to train, and that he will teach others also?!
I want to leave you with this quote I heard recently from a pastor; “Genuine faith trusts God even when He doesn’t deliver us from trouble.” – Pastor Dan Reed
What an encouragement that was to my heart! May it be one for you as well!
God bless,
Stephen, Ashlee, Peyton, and Eli
