What a time it has been already throughout the first two weeks of June! I am excited to say that I am only growing more and more excited about what God is doing in these last days!
The Underwood family started out in a missions conference with some of the greatest people in the world! This church was welcoming from day one, loving, caring, and certainly desiring to see the gospel preached around the world.
Then, we headed up to Sand Mountain Bible Camp for the Tenth Annual Our Generation Camp! I stand amazed at the hunger and desire I saw this week in the lives of many young people to honor and serve the Lord in the area of missions. This week, I witnessed as upwards of 30 young men and ladies signed a pledge that their life was not their own, and that they choose to change their default setting from “Stay” (in the U.S.) to “Go” unto the uttermost parts of the earth with the gospel of Christ!
Lastly, we are excited that we are only two days away from our survey trip to South Africa! For the next two weeks, my wife and I will be surveying the city, seeing the available housing, researching key areas of future ministry, and simply being introduced to the people and culture in which we long to serve. I praise the Lord that my pastor, Tony Howeth will be accompanying us in order to advise and give guidance throughout the trip.
I would ask that you pray with us for the following:
1) Decisions that many young people made at the OG Camp!
2) Pray for traveling mercies and that our survey trip will be very productive.
3) Pray for three young people that will be going with us for a missions trip, two of which will be staying for 8 weeks!
