Things are beginning to pick back up! We are praising the Lord for having a few meetings scattered throughout the last few weeks! It’s always encouraging to see God work in special circumstances and times throughout our lives. It only proves to strengthen our faith!
Last month, I had the privilege to accompany Mark Coffey to a meeting in Ohio. Kevin Hall, was also with us as we spent a weekend just north of Dayton. It was a great time of fellowship and reminiscing on the goodness of God in our lives and ministry. I’ve often told folks when asked about going to Argentina and leaving South Africa; the hardest part for me is leaving my brothers in Christ that I was able to work with so closely. I’m thankful to know that we are all working to preach the gospel from every corner of the world and to see Christ’s Great Commission fulfilled in our lifetime!
We also praise the Lord for the team God is using and building in Argentina! Without Patrick and Leslie Henry helping us on that side, we would be at a loss. We’ve been able to sign and lock in a house there in Buenos Aires! Signing allows us to lock in the monthly rate, as well as occupy the house the moment we land on the field!
My “adopted nephew” Tyler Ellis recently married Lydia Bush, who is a dear friend of mine’s daughter, Jeff Bush. They are currently on deputation to become church planting missionaries in Argentina! I am so excited to have the opportunity to serve along side them! Tyler is the oldest son of Mark and Amy Coffey who we worked with in South Africa! If nothing else, maybe they will come visit us (or the grandkids 😉 ) in Argentina!
Shawn Bateman is able to start venturing out again as things open up in Rosario allowing him to continue focusing and working in his church plant. Jason King is still stateside, in a similar situation that we are in, just waiting to be able to head back to the field! I’m just so thankful that God allows us to work with these amazing families!
Please continue praying with us about set up fund costs. We will now need to have FBI Background checks redone and re-apostilled, as the visa requirements in Argentina need them to be within 6 months of submission. This process alone will be roughly $700 for Ashlee and my background checks!
If you’d like to be a part in helping with set up needs; here is a list of some items that will be needed:
2 cars with roughly 100,000 km – $12,000 $10,000
beds for the family – $1450
couch and love seat – $900
dining room table – $5004 months rent for deposit on house – $4,160 Washer and dryer – $1200
American size refrigerator – $1000
Thank you all for your continued love and prayers!
