Genesis 25:8 “Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.”
God has blessed Abraham mightily. He made covenant with Himself on behalf of Abraham because He knew that Abraham could not keep his end of the covenant.
God promised him a seed that would be as numerous as the stars, a land that would be his, and that out of his people the nations would be blessed (Christ).
Though Abraham lied, he was not perfect; he believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness! Abraham, at the end of his life; his epitaph read he died in a good old age, and full of years.
May the Lord bless my life in His abundant grace! May my life represent the Lord Jesus Christ, that it is profitable for me to live in a good old age. The Lord will get the glory in my life, whether in death or in the fullness of life! May my life not be wasted in the vain things of this world, but let it be used to bring honor and glory to the God of Heaven!
