It is crazy to think that we are only two months away from getting on a plane and flying to Argentina! In one sense, it feels as though we have only been back in the States from South Africa for a short time. In another, we are counting down and anticipating the day we get to arrive on our new field of service!
God has greatly blessed our furlough and we are humbled, and honored by the generosity of our faithful ministry partners! We are excited to report that $3000 has come in toward our set up funds needs! We also have others that have committed to help meet these needs! I have been notified of five new supporting churches that will help cover the cost of living increase for Argentina!
We are continuing to travel throughout the next two months and raise the additional support and set up needed before we leave March 31, 2020! Please continue to pray with us! We know that God is able and faithful to meet these needs, and that He will accomplish this through His people!
We have started the process of collecting paperwork for our visas! This is always a “fun” (tedious) process, but we are confident that there will not be any issues! We’ve also began the process of house hunting! With the help of our new co-laborers and team in Argentina, we will search for available housing, they will be our eyes and check out the ones we like, and report back the pros and cons! This is a very exciting time!
Something specific to pray for during the housing search is; we will be required to pay up to four months rent in advance before securing a house! This will be a deposit and three months rent all in advance! Please pray that God will meet this need along with our set up costs!
If you’d like to be a part in helping with set up needs; here is a list of some items that will be needed:
2 cars with roughly 100,000 km – $12,000
4 months rent for deposit on house – $4,000
beds for the family – $1450
couch and love seat – $900
Washer and dryer – $1200
American size refrigerator – $1000

I think you are the Stephen Underwood who worked on our computer several years ago here at Tidewater Plantation in Cherry Grove (NMB) SC. You were so nice and told me, I think, that you were the pastor at the small church up on Sea Mountain.
And look at you now, a wonderful missionary all over the world, and 3 boys. I’m glad we’re friends on FB so we can keep up with your travels and ministering to Christians and non Christians in Argentina.
Safe travels to you and your family. I will pray for you.
God Bless You, Daphne Carter
