February 2014 Prayer Letter
As I drove into a very familiar town, we were fortunate to see some unfamiliar things. While preaching and presenting our ministry in a church in the North Georgia area, I noticed a young man sitting near the front on the right side. As I watched him shift his weight from left to right, squirming in his seat just a bit, it was evident that God was working in his life in a great way.
After the service, this dear brother shared with me how God had called him to preach some months before, but that he had been struggling with which direction to serve. He added, that the Lord had confirmed in his life during the message that He wanted him to serve as a missionary to a foreign field! Needless to say, I was extremely excited at the announcement!
Often people will ask me, “how much support have you raised?”. The desire is to know the amount of money raised and how close are we to getting to the field. God taught me that, yes, I need financial help in order to get to the field, but that God is also using this time to raise up men, surrendered to His will, for truly the fields are white already to harvest.
Pray for me that I would be fruitful in ministering to the churches we attend and pray for this young man as he seeks the Lord’s will for his life. It could be, that not too far in the distant future, this young man may be coming by your church sharing his burden and raising support!
Thank you for your continued prayers and support of the Underwood Family!
