The Lord truly blessed the Black Friday lock-in! I was so encouraged to see all the youth that came out, and the chaperones that volunteered their time during the Thanksgiving season to be a part of the ministry! We had 36 total in our group, and was met by four other youth departments from area local churches of like faith. I had the opportunity to preach to well over 100 youth with which many made decisions to live for the Lord!
I want to give special praise to God in that one of our chaperones, a dad to some of my youth, accepted Jesus as his personal Savior on Sunday following the lock-in! It's amazing to see God work in the hearts of others and move the way He did during a youth activity. Please continue to be in prayer with us, as we trust the Lord is not finished working on others.
Also, being blessed as we were; we ended up being $120 over budget. But God saw fit to supply our need the following Sunday. Not only had someone so graciously given the $120, but others had given abundantly beyond what was needed. We are seeing the fruits of our labor, and pray that many others would be saved, and Christians would be stirred by the moving of the Holy Spirit.
This week, we will begin to visit, and disciple those that made decisions for the Lord. Our hearts desire is to see them grow in grace, and knowledge in order to train others also. Next on the agenda will be to begin planning a youth revival! Please pray with us about this as well! There are many young people in our area that have no family, no home to speak of, and NO HOPE…But if we lift up our eyes, and look on the fields; we will see that they are ready to harvest for the Lord!
